Non-Profit Residence

What is the Temporary Non-profit residence?

The Non-Profit Residence is an authorization that allows foreign citizens to reside in Spain without having to work or carry out any work activity, as long as they demonstrate that they have sufficient financial means to stay in the country.

This is defined in the basic regulations applied to this application, which you can access by clicking here.

Who is the Non-Profit Residence for?

Spain is undoubtedly a perfect country to live in for a long time. Its gastronomy, good weather, its tourist power or the warmth of its people, make the Spanish territory an ideal destination for many foreign citizens. But in that case, what documentation is the most appropriate? If you have sufficient financial means and you do not intend to work, the Non-Profit Residence Visa is the best option.

This documentation is intended for those foreigners who:

  • They wish to retire in Spain.
  • Citizens from outside the EU who intend to work remotely from Spain.
  • Foreigners who want to spend a year without working in Spain  and later acquire a work permit.
