Temporary residence authorization for exceptional circumstances that may be granted to foreign citizens who meet both points:

• They are in Spain continuously for at least 3 years.
• Have family ties in Spain or show that they are socially integrated.

In the event that you want to reside and work, there are two ways:

1. Employed by someone else: it is the most requested option and the easiest to obtain, since it is only necessary to provide an employment contract that complies with the regulations.
2. On your own account: with this alternative, it is essential to demonstrate that you have your own business plan and that, in addition, you have sufficient financial solvency.

Family Rooting

Temporary residence authorization for exceptional circumstances that may be granted to foreign citizens who meet one of the following points:

• They are the father or mother of minor born in Spain.
• Are children of a father or mother of Spanish origin.

Among the requirements, it is necessary to provide a certificate of criminal record from the country of origin. In addition, prove the family bond with the birth certificate of the minor of Spanish nationality, or the applicant's birth certificate, if the child of a father or mother originally Spanish.

Labor Rooting

It may be granted to those foreign citizens who meet the following two conditions simultaneously:

• Have been in Spain continuously for at least 2 years.
• Have had working relationships for a minimum period of 6 months.

Among the requirements, it is necessary to justify said labor relations by:

• A Judicial Resolution or conciliation act in court.
• Through a Confirmatory Administrative Resolution of the labor inspection and Social Security infraction act.

It should be clarified that the Labor Rooting is the most conflictive, since it implies the complaint to the employer by the worker.
